New tattoo based off of the hare on one of Bernard Leach’s ceramic chargers.

an example of me sick of reading papers about the history and permanence of bernard leach’s work when really tumblr could’ve done a better job

i’m giving another tour tomorrow at the art museum i volunteer at and i’m so excited.   i’m about to drink tea and watch some bbc art documentaries, livin’ the dream.right now i’m making very little money, but i’m volunteering at some amazing spots (where i can work on my own projects or help out with cool art orgs), very actively making art, occasionally selling art and doing commissions, meeting cool people + discovering new art opportunities.   i’ve finally gotten a bit of stability and scheduling (lots of volunteering, friend drawing and/or crafting meet-ups, setting myself studio hours) and it’s nice.
i still have stressful, “i’m not a real adult” moments, but this off period has been really productive for me, and art is seeming more and more like a viable career, and that’s a pretty amazing thing.  i could do some more art bragging about the cool projects i’ve applied to, and started, but mostly what i’m trying to say is i feel really grateful and lucky things are going this well.

You guys have all heard of Lumberjanes by now, right? I’m happy to say that my exclusive cover for Lumberjanes #1 is for sale at Challengers Comics in Chicago (my hometown!) coinciding with Noelle's signing there this past weekend. I think the whole Lumberjanes crew is ace and I'm excited to have contributed to such a girl-positive comics series, drawn and written by awesome ladies!
I’ve been watching a lot of River Monsters and I really liked the idea of setting the Lumberjanes off on a canoeing adventure with an unexpected catch. I’ve since been informed that the canoe I drew totally looks like a vagina. It was unintentional, but I’m more than ok with that! By ladies for ladies, amirite??

i need to know more about this.

Plot twist: The tears in Dumbledore’s eyes when seeing the doe patronus were tears of pity. What he was really trying to say with, “After all this time?” is “Dude you haven’t let it go yet?” The memory faded out before we could realize.

"After all this time?”

"Always," said Snape.

"Severus, it’s been years. Get a girlfriend. Please."

Why is no one on the Internet for this moon thing

There’s a guy yelling at the moon and a woman searching on an opposing balcony who’s never gonna see it facing that way. Queso is unaffected. I’m acting out comic book scenarios in my head—“you hit me during the eclipse, my one moment of weakness!”

When you are the moon, there is a person people say is the sun. I saw the sun once, and he came past me, really fast. And it was an, it was called, the, an eclipse. And he came fast! But as he came past, I, I licked his back. [sticks out tongue] And he doesn’t know I licked his back! All in his yellow suit!… I’m the moon.

The most beautiful cat cafe I have been to. It’s called Temari no Ouchi (Temari’s house) in Tokyo, Japan. The soft music and ambience feels like you are in a Studio Ghibli film. Had to take the Japan Railway there, but was totally worth the extra trip, & unlike the central Tokyo cat cafes, this one has no time limit, so feels totally relaxed. Several girls were even sleeping there amongst the cats.

i want to go to there
